Carnival Cruise Line Announces Major Florida Expansion for 2027/28: Carnival Venezia Heads to Miami

Carnival Cruise Line has opened new 2027/28 reservations for three key ships sailing from top Florida homeports, Miami and Port Canaveral, signaling a significant expansion of its offerings. The announcement includes a South Florida move for the “Fun Italian Style” Carnival Venezia and an expanded array of options for Carnival Magic and Carnival Vista.

Carnival Venezia Sets Sail for Miami

Starting in May 2027, the 4,000-guest Carnival Venezia will reposition to Miami after a seasonal program from Port Canaveral. From its new home, the ship will offer a series of six- and eight-day Caribbean voyages through April 2028.

These itineraries bring “Fun Italian Style” to the region, blending Carnival’s signature fun with Italian-inspired amenities, including the specialty restaurant Il Viaggio and bars like Amari and Frizzante. Six-day Western Caribbean cruises will feature stops at Carnival’s new exclusive destination, Celebration Key, alongside ports like Ocho Rios/Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Grand Turk, and Amber Cove. The eight-day cruises will visit marquee Southern Caribbean destinations such as Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, and Amber Cove.

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line said:

“Carnival Venezia moving to Miami creates even more choice for our guests with longer itineraries to the most popular Caribbean destinations and adds a new flavor of fun with our ‘Italian Style’ experiences,”

Expanded Offerings for Magic and Vista

Carnival Magic will remain in Miami and expand its program with a variety of six- and eight-day cruises across the Eastern, Western, and Southern Caribbean. Its diverse itineraries include visits to exclusive destinations like Celebration Key, Amber Cove, and Half Moon Cay (RelaxAway), as well as classic ports like San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and St. Croix. The Dream-class ship features family favorites such as SportSquare, WaterWorks, and Guy’s Burger Joint.
